Crypto ASICs & Miners
Technology.
GMT’s bitcoin ASICs have a competitive advantage that others companies can’t replicate: they are built using GMT’s patented Relative Timing (RT) methodology and technology.
Relative Timing is a novel approach to ASIC design that has proven to have significant benefits in the following areas: power, performance, area, latency, robustness to process, voltage, temperature fluctuations, and reductions to power supply noise and electro-magnetic interference.
Relative Timing levels the playing field, allowing GMT to compete with – and beat – larger organizations for the best SHA-256 bitcoin ASICs.

Experience.
GMT built its 5 nm bitcoin architecture on the foundation of its 12 nm fabricated bitcoin design. Significant key learnings were applied to the 5 nm architecture.
Experience building bitcoin ASICs is critical to successful bitcoin implementations, as many have tried but few have succeeded. In 2018, GMT partnered with a company to design, fabricate, and manufacture its first commercial miner on TSMC’s 12nm technology node.
GMT leveraged this experience, and applied key learnings to refine and optimize its architecture and design process. The result is a 5 nm architecture that has been thoroughly simulated to give confidence that it is ready to compete with the best-in-industry bitcoin miners.
Proven.
GMT’s 5nm SHA-256 architecture and design was simulated through SPICE at various near-threshold voltages in 5nm standard cell libraries with parasitics to derive accurate power and performance targets.
The SPICE simulations validate that when the design moves to physical layout and ultimately to silicon it will be one of the most competitive chips on the market. Unless a company has gone to this level of analysis, this is difficult to claim. GMT has done the leg work to increase confidence in the capabilities of GMT’s bitcoin ASIC.

Optimized.
GMT’s ASICs are designed to optimize system-level operation in a stacked configuration at low input voltages, critical for bitcoin mining operations.
Each ASIC automatically and dynamically adjusts to the optimal frequency for locally provided voltage and temperature. Where other companies take penalty margins to ensure functional worst-case variation, GMT’s ASICs operate penalty-free.
GMT bitcoin ASICs are more robust to changes in voltage and temperature, resulting in longer life, better power, and better performance, in many cases up to 15-20% better than if using non RT-based ASICs.
Partnerships.
To ensure a successful implementation, GMT has partnered with one of the largest EDA tool providers in the world to collaborate on the backend design of its SHA-256 ASICs.
This approach allows GMT to leverage its expertise in ultra low power logical design, while gaining the expertise of a multi-billion dollar partner for assistance in the physical layout and routing of the backend design.
The synergies of this partnership allow for high-quality ASIC designs.
Quality.
GMT is an American company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, with all of its designers living within the continental United States of America.
GMT’s emphasis is one on quality of its designs and designers, ensuring that GMT produces the best products and services for its clients.
Working with GMT means working with a company that values transparent, honest, collaborative relationships that you can come to rely on and trust.
Ready.
GMT is actively looking for a partner to take its 5 nm bitcoin ASIC and miner to market. This miner will be one-of-a-kind with benefits that will span from generation-to-generation. The future of bitcoin miners is with GMT using its patented RT design methodology.
With the right partner, GMT will raise the bar for bitcoin miners, and take the bitcoin miner industry to a level of competitiveness and diversity that hasn’t been seen since the beginning.
