Top Notch Security

GMT uses a novel, patented approach to Physical Unclonable Function design in the creation of its Giga-PUFs called Equipotential Timing (ET). ET enables stable, synthesizable PUF implementations that can be delivered as soft IP and integrated into any design at low cost.

The Giga-PUF can be scaled quickly and easily to all circuit designs, across all technology nodes and foundries, giving access to all companies to secure their products with exponential PUF solutions that enable true hardware root-of-trust.

Soft IP

The Giga-PUF is delivered as a synthesizable soft IP that can be applied across all technology nodes and foundries. Most exponential PUF solutions today utilize hardened IP components with either custom layout or memory cells. The Giga-PUF  enables synthesizable soft IP with high quality results.

Superior Protection

Giga-PUFs are highly secure. They draw from an exponentially large data space that allows for added versatility in application, and enables much better resistance to adversarial attacks, including machine learning attacks. Giga-PUFs provide better security than a typical SRAM or memory-based PUF.

Small Footprint

Giga-PUFs utilize only logic elements in its design. Thus, for the same number of data bits, it is exponentially smaller than a memory-based solutions. There is no special floor planning required to incorporate the IP into an ASIC product. The Giga-PUF also only requires minimal supporting cryptographic algorithms to keep it secure, further reducing its footprint.

Scalable

Because GMT delivers the Giga-PUF as a soft IP, it can be quickly and efficiently incorporated into any design, at any technology node, using any foundry. Its small size, small cost, but large security impact offer a secure root-of-trust solution that can be scaled to all chips.

Low Power

Giga-PUFs are smaller than the most common PUFs used today, and this smaller size translates into far lower operational power when in use. The Giga-PUF provides better security, more robust applications, all at a smaller size and lower power.

Nearly Limitless Keys

Due to the exponential nature of the Giga-PUF, the number of keys or the size of the keys it can generate is nearly limitless. This is in stark contrast to more common linear solutions, that are restrictive in both the number and size of keys a single PUF can generate.

Versatility

The size of the Giga-PUF’s entropy bit space enables it to be used not only as a private key, but also for various other concurrent applications, including enrollment and authentication. This results in much more diversity in application when compared to more common SRAM PUFs.

Stability Boost Technology

The Giga-PUF is built using GMT’s proprietary stability boost technology, which utilizes novel circuit techniques to increase the stability of the bits in order to protect against malicious threats and lifecycle drift.
